Unlike gel, it requires no UV or LED lamp to cure. Unlike acrylic, it uses no harsh liquid monomer, making it virtually odor-free and gentler on the natural nail. The result is a lightweight, hard finish that looks like gel polish but is significantly more durable.
A Dipping Full Set Gel ($55 cash / $56.38 card) is for clients starting fresh — either for the first time or after removing a previous set. The technician builds the entire nail from scratch using the dipping powder system. A Dipping Fill Gel ($45 cash / $46.13 card) is a maintenance appointment for an existing dipping set. As your natural nail grows, we refill the gap near the cuticle and refresh the color and top coat, keeping your nails looking flawless without a full removal.
Dipping powder is one of the longest-lasting nail options available. With proper application and everyday care, a full set typically lasts 3 to 5 weeks before a fill is needed — noticeably longer than traditional gel polish. The hard powder coating resists chipping and cracking far better than regular polish, making it an excellent choice for anyone who works with their hands or simply wants low-maintenance nails that stay looking fresh.
Yes — sculpting specialty shapes requires additional time and skill, so there is an add-on charge. For Coffin, Almond, and Stiletto shapes on dipping nails, the extra cost is $10 for Short/Medium length (cash) or $10.25 (card), and $15 for Long/XL length (cash) or $15.38 (card). Standard square and oval shapes are included in the base price with no additional fee. Just let your technician know your preferred shape before the service begins.
When applied and removed correctly by a trained technician, dipping powder is considered one of the safer nail enhancement options. It contains no liquid monomer and requires no UV exposure. The key to protecting your natural nails is proper removal — soaking off the powder gently rather than peeling or forcing it. We always recommend having your dipping set removed professionally to minimize any risk of thinning or damage to the nail plate underneath.
We recommend scheduling a Fill every 3 to 4 weeks as your natural nail grows out. Most clients can do 2 fills before the powder starts to lift or lose its bond, at which point a Full Set removal and new application is the best option — typically every 2 to 3 months. Coming in on schedule keeps your nails strong, prevents lifting that can trap moisture, and ensures your color always looks vibrant and freshly done.
